Atop the upper Palani hills near Madurai at 2133 metres lies the beautiful resort of Kodaikanal. Offering relief from the scorching heat of the plains, Kodai is a must-visit destination for every tourist to South India. The Berijam Lake, waterfalls and scenic views are popular tourist attractions in Kodaikanal.

Kodai can be approached from Madurai, (135 km) Trichy (200 km) and Coimbatore by air, or by Palani (64 km), Kodai Road (80 km) or Dindigul (100 km) by train. The driive to Kodai up the Palani hills is a rejuvenating experience. Besides, the Shenbaganur Museum, the Bryant Park Botanical Garden, Guna caves, Pillar Rocks, Silver Falls and the Solar Observatory are some of the places of interest to tourists.

Kodai is best visited during the summers, between March and June, and again after the rains in October. The temperatures in winter range between 8° C and 16° C, and sometimes drop to freezing point.

Day 01: Madurai -Coimbatore - Kodaikanal
Arrive in Kodaikanal. Check in at hotel. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: In Kodaikanal
Breakfast.
Visit Kurinji Temple, Coakers Walk, Silver Cascade Fall, Bryant Park, Pillar Rocks,Golf Course, and other places of interest.
Evening at leisure or enjoy boating in the Kodai Lake (on own).
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: In Kodaikanal
Breakfast at the hotel.
Proceed for half day Wild Path Trek through Silent Valley. Evening free for independent activities in Kodaikanal.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Kodaikanal - Madurai/Coimbatore
Breakfast. Depart from Kodaikanal for Madurai/ Coimbatore.
